[Bridgewater, NJ - September 17, 2008]
At this week's TMC Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO in Los Angeles, California, emFAST Inc. - publisher of the FACSys Fax Messaging Gateway solution - is pleased to announce the upcoming release of FACSys FoIP [FACSys over IP]. FACSys over IP is an extension to the FACSys platform, which is based on licensed, patented technology that facilitates the sending and receiving of fax messages using the T.38 protocol in an Internet Protocol (IP) enabled network. FACSys FoIP, when connected to a T.38 enabled gateway/provider, creates a boardless fax server solution.
FACSys FoIP
"Since its introduction in 1990, FACSys has undergone numerous enhancements and upgrades to meet the needs of the fax server market," said Peter Mittler, Vice President of Business Development, emFAST Inc. "Many of these enhancements have been created to provide the customer with more choices - today a FACSys customer can choose between the FACSys FoIP, V.17 solution or a V.34-capable option using Dialogic's SR140 Fax over IP solution."

Elvis Cabral, Director of Sales, emFAST Inc. added, "Our mission to 'Fax Enable Your World' has guided almost 30 years of continuous enhancements to the FACSys platform. Offering two distinct options to migrate from existing fax technology to Fax over IP is just the latest example of emFAST anticipating and responding to customer requirements."

The trend towards virtualization has run into issues with fax servers that are dependent on physical boards. With the introduction of Fax over IP and boardless fax servers to the market, the benefits of virtualization can now be extended to the fax server platform. This further enhances emFAST's FACSys Green initiative by enabling customers to reduce power consumption and their carbon footprint.

"Having previously been a FACSys customer for over 10 years, I realize how important these continuous improvements are," stated Peter Valier, Director of IT, emFAST Inc. "The superior business-continuity and disaster-recovery capabilities delivered by virtualization are two of the best value propositions to the IT community today."
