Introducing three new Licensing models; one based on channel count, FACSys SBS for Microsoft Small Business Server and FACSys LITE for entry level users.

[December 15, 2004, Branchburg, NJ] Today emFAST Inc., the manufacturer and distributor of FACSys announces the immediate availability of a re-structured licensing model for the FACSys Fax Messaging Gateway.

Peter Mittler, Vice President of Business development says, "Having been a reseller and distributor of FACSys for over a decade before acquiring the Intellectual Property ourselves, we were often faced with situations that while FACSys was technologically superior to a competitive product, we lost the business because we could only offer one licensing model based on the number of users. During procurement, where Capital cost is a factor, faxserver products offering an 'unlimited user' license appeared to be more cost-effective. Though customers adopting this model may have to purchase more channel licenses as they expand, those costs can often be absorbed into Operating budgets in subsequent fiscal years. FACSys 4.9 alleviates this conundrum by providing Enterprise Level faxserver customers with a choice; either unlimited channels or unlimited users, right at the purchasing stage of procurement."

Frank Kaufman, President of emFAST Inc. adds, "The excitement in our Reseller and Distribution channel for this new flexible pricing model for Enterprise Customers has been outstanding. The feedback we are getting is 'this should have been done YEARS ago'. We can now be competitive with FACSys in sites where we could not get the business before."

In addition to this channel model, emFAST Inc. introduces FACSys SBS which ships with 4 channels and 25 users and FACSys LITE which ships with 2 channels and 10 users. These two licensing models will appeal to the entry-level customer who has traditionally been reluctant to invest in faxserver technology. FACSys SBS and FACSys LITE licensing models come with FREE installation and technical support for 60 days in North America. FACSys Authorized Distributors (FADs) in International markets will initiate similar programs to foster the adoption of FACSys by entry level customers.

"Even though Small-to-Medium sized companies can save thousands of dollars per year by implementing a LAN-based faxserver," says Frank Downes, Managing Director of Meridian Asia/Pacific, the FACSys Authorized Distributor in Australia, "the owner or IT Manager frequently finds other more pressing initiatives on which to spend their budget money. Now we have an offering that will appeal to this market AND to the resellers who service them. We applaud emFAST Inc.'s creative initiatives with FACSys 4.9."

Dan Mente, Director of Technical Services for emFAST Inc. who manages the F.A.S.T. program (FACSys Authorized Support Team) adds, "I have been involved with the development and technical support for FACSys for over 8 years, not only with emFAST Inc. but also with the original owners of the product. The most important aspects of a FACSys implementation is to ensure that the server’s operating system and fax boards are configured properly before installing FACSys. Whereas large companies with extensive IT infrastructure can manage this alone, Small-to-Medium sized businesses seldom have the resources to accomplish this. Our F.A.S.T. technicians are able to have these customers sending and receiving faxes in less than one hour. By installing FACSys correctly the first time we anticipate fewer post-installation support calls."

About emFAST Inc.
As the new owners of FACSys, emFAST Inc. continues to be focused on delivering unparalleled support and services to those customers who entrust their faxing requirements to emFAST's products. While emFAST Inc. does not sell directly to end-users, it nevertheless understands that it is the end-user’s experience with their fax deployment that will convince resellers and international distributors to focus their attention on emFAST's primary product, FACSys. Incorporated in 2001 in Delaware and headquartered in New Jersey with legal and banking services in Buffalo, New York, emFAST Inc. is poised to capture and re-capture a significant portion of the production fax market, assisted by strategic partnerships with fax board manufacturers such as Brooktrout Technologies, Intel/Dialogic and Eicon Networks.
