Minimum Server Requirements for FACSys 5.1 Enterprise:
- CPU: Pentium 4 (1.5GHz or better)
- Memory: 512MB to 2GB RAM (when combined with SQL Server 2005)
- Disk Space: 20GB available disk space (additional space required for storing fax messages)
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
- Database: Microsoft SQL 2000 or 2005 (Express, Workgroup, Standard or Enterprise)
- Connectivity: Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) number for receiving and sending faxes and or internet connection (for Fax over IP)
- Fax Board: At least one fax board
- For PSTN:
- Dialogic Brooktrout TR1034 Series, TR114 Series
- Dialogic Brooktrout TruFax 200
- Dialogic (formerly Intel, Intel/Dialogic, Eicon, Gammalink)
- For Fax Over IP:
- Dialogic Brooktrout SR140
- Dialogic Diva softIP for SIP
Notes:
- For optimum performance, it is recommended that the FACSys Fax Server be operated on a dedicated fax server. Please note that this is not a software requirement.
- FACSys should NOT be installed on the same server as the Microsoft Exchange Server, particularly for server-side rendering of attachments. Rendering requires additional server CPU resources and memory which will impact server performance.
