Barcode Routing | Feature Overview
FACSys Barcode Routing is an advanced routing feature that is designed to enhance the efficiency of an organization’s existing fax workflow environment, and reduce its cost and complexity.
Barcode routing allows for the automatic inbound routing of documents (generated by FACSys or other business-critical applications) that have been assigned a barcode value.
Many key industries and business processes are heavily reliant on the receipt of faxed forms - insurance claim forms, banking forms, loan approval forms – all of which are required to be faxed directly to a specific department/individual that will be processing the form.
Traditionally, organizations have relied on DID (Direct Inward Dial) and Manual routing for documents that are time/content sensitive to ensure appropriate delivery as well as the integrity of the sensitive information.
By leveraging FACSys Barcode Routing, a core feature of FACSys 5.1, organizations can replace fee-based services (DID/CallerId) for routing these content-sensitive forms. Forms from any client system that are required to be completed and returned via fax can be assigned barcodes for seamless routing to users, groups, queues, file locations, document management systems and workflows.
